Apple's iOS 5 - A rundown of the new features

A few days ago I installed the beta of iOS 5 for both the iPhone 4 and the iPad 2 to check out all the changes from iOS 4. I will talk about all the things I have noticed along with a bunch of screenshots so you can see some of the cool changes. Apple have announced that the public version of iOS 5 will be available sometime in August.

The 2 big things in iOS 5 is the notification system and Apple's new iCloud system. iCloud is cloud service from Apple which was announced on the 6th of June at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. The service allows users to store data such as music files and automatically sync between multiple devices such as: iPhones, iPods, iPads, Mac's and PC's. It also replaces MobileMe which will cease to exist next year, acting as a data syncing center for email, contacts, calendars, bookmark, notes, to-do lists and other data. WIth this update no more syncing with your computer and itunes. Can all be done over the air now. This I have been waiting for a long time and it is finally here.

Lets dig into the new version and see what we have.
